If you're traveling to Chiang Mai, 'Kaomai Lanna' is a good place to stay!

For those who love boutique hotel (like me), this hotel would be your answer.

Having no car is not a problem. Because it's located by the main road.

You can get there easily by public transportation. (Please email me for more detail.)

..

The front desk, lobby, restaurant and café are all in Thai Lanna house.

..

There are lots of trees along the way to guestroom.

You can take a walk and enjoy green space around.

..

The buildings that are covered with climber plants, is signature of this hotel. It's like a landmark.

Some people just come to take photo. But I would say it isn't enough!

Being closer to green space…

The highlight of this hotel is, it's renovated from old tobacco barn.

After the tobacco was not popular and local people changed to other businesses. So it became abandoned place.

At the beginning, owner bought it and just wanted to renovate as private resort.

But it was changed to hotel later on.

I was impressed by the story and all tiny details.

..

...

Let's see our room!

I like this boutique hotel. The room is decorated with Thai Lanna style.

..

And it's time for breakfast.

The atmosphere was sooo good.

Get closer… >/<

..

ABF, rice porridge or fried rice is on your request.

They serve with toast, seasonal fruits and juice.

..

Please bring mosquito repellent with you when you go there.

So nothing can interrupt your happiness <3

Because it's 1 day trip. So we planned to travel in Sanpatong district only.

Our first stop was 'Ganesh Museum'.

I've never known that Chiang Mai has a museum. It has been open since 2009.

And I was surprised again to know that there are over 1,000 of Ganesh in this museum!

The owner truly believes in Ganesh.

He collects the varieties of Ganesh posture and then opens this museum to public.

I like this statue most.

There are still many more interesting buildings that Ganesh worshipper can't miss to visit in this museum.

And it's entrance fee museum!

Our next destination was ' Pha Chor'.

It's adventure time!

It's like short trekking in 1km.

Let's see how old you are. LOL

It's believed that this used to be the Ping River watercourse.

When the river changed route the site became a hill from the river sediment that piled up into layers.

..

When time passed, it eroded and became cliffs and soil pillars of strange shapes.

That's pretty cool!

It's such an unseen place in Chiang Mai.

Another adventurous thing to do in Chiang Mai is cliff jumping at 'Grand Canyon Chiang Mai'.

Also known as Hang Dong Canyon, it is a beautiful canyon where you can swim, sunbath and cliff jump.

There's no accurate measurement of how high the jumps are.

I heard it's around 10-20 meters.

Rafts in the water are available to rest on after a jump or swimming from the ramp.

The entrance fee to the quarry is 50 baht.

New update! They just opened Water Park inside.

You need to pay another 300 baht for getting in.

Last destination of this trip is ' Dong Pa Sang Handicraft Centre'.

It's Mulberry paper village or called 'Saa paper'.

If you are looking for handmade products, they can make for you.

Locals said they love this small business

Cause they can earn money during their main job break.

Mulberry paper can be made into a wide range of paper products such as book, box paper, card, photo frame etc.

..

Paper bag is best seller product.

And locals were preparing to export it to Japan!

..

They added real flowers and leaves to decorate the papers, which transforms the papera into unique works of art.

If you have more time, you can make it step by step.
