Previously of ROMANIA #5 : Salina Turda https://th.readme.me/p/5243

It takes about 44 minutes from Salina Turda to Cluj Napoca. It is also one of seven-fortress city of Transilvernia as well as Sibiu and Sighisoara. The driver drops us off at Central Hotel where we stay tonight.

It is the only one night that we actually stay in the hotel.

Basic Lobby!!!

Room is okay with price of 64 USD

Leave everything and let's go out to find something to eat first^^.

That small church in front of us both outside and inside is very beautiful.

This afternoon we have Pizza at La Tina Restaurant

Again 2 pizza 1 pasta and 1 soup total for 50 LEI

After recharging our energy, it is time to discover the city. Our first destination is St Michael's Church.

St Michael's Church is a big Gothic church that built in 1350. It is located at Uniri Square. Next to the church is Matthias Corvinas Monument, the king of Hungary who governed the city during 15th century and he is a father of Cluj Napoca.

Inside the church is very elegant with the paint on the wall even it is not complete but it makes the church more valuable. There is an exhibition of old items such as a big organ. The atmosphere inside is very peaceful.

After that we walk around the city, enjoy the view of houses and building which I think it is very charming by its design and unique.

The yellow building over there is Teatrul National.

The opposite Teatrul National is Gwalum Langu Square where is Dormition of the Theotokos located which was built in 1923.

Inside the church is wider than other Orthodox Church that I have been visited. The paint on the wall is about Christianity which is very interesting and makes me do not want to leave the church.

This monument is next to the church but I do not have any information about it.

While we are at Uniri Square, we can see a small hill from the back of St Michael's Church which has a big church and hotel up there. I think it would be another viewpoint of Cluj Napoca.

As I thought, it is the viewpoint of Cluj Napoca with clear open view.

After that, we have dinner at Camino Restaurant.

Camino is located near Franciscan Monastery. The church was built in 15th century and it is one of the oldest church in Cluj Napaca.

There are many restaurant in this area including Camino restaurant.

Camino restaurant has both outdoor and indoor. We choose indoor because outdoor people are smoking.

A glass of wine to refresh ourselves.

Food is look good and taste great moreover than that it is not expensive. Total for dinner today is 135 LEI.

When we finish our dinner, it is a time of that the sky is changing color so I and one of friend decide to wait for the light of blue sky before go back to the hotel.

After taking photos, I decide to go back the hotel first unluckily I get lost. I try to ask one girl that I passed but see does not understand. So I decide to walk back to St Michael's Church again perhaps my friend might still there. It almost 11.00pm., I am so worry that I am lost and could not find the way back to the hotel. Suddenly, there is a guy bike a bicycle slowly to this way, so I ask him if he know the Central Hotel that I stay. At first he does not understand my English so he takes out his phone and let me type in the place name on Google. Then he type to explain me the direction but I do not understand because my English is not good so he speak slower. When I get the direction and thank him, he also want to go with me even I tell him that I already remember the way back. He is afraid that I might get lost again and it is also the same way that he is heading to. I walk follow him, we are talking all the way even I have poor English. I try to tell him that I already remember the way back until I tell him that "The church is opposite my hotel" and about to continue walking, suddenly he stops and tell me that this is the hotel that you are looking for. I am really thankful for him, I might walk pass the hotel if I do not have him....
