เสียมราฐ ประตูสู่นครวัดนครธม l Angkor Wat&Angkor Thom

ครั้งนี้ผมได้มีโอกาสไปเที่ยวในประเทศเพื่อนบ้านของเรา นั่นก็คือ ประเทศกัมพูชา

เมื่อผมหรือใครหลายๆคนนึกถึงกัมพูชา ความคิดหรือภาพในจินตนาการของเรานั่นก็คือ นครวัด นครธม ที่มีชื่อเสียงโด่งดังในฐานะเป็นมรดกโลก และยังเป็น 1 ใน 7 สิ่งมหัศจรรย์ของโลกอีกด้วย สำหรับใครที่ชื่นชอบแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางประวัติศาสตร์ เพื่อศึกษาและชมความงดงามทางสถาปัตยกรรมโบราณ ไม่ควรพลาดที่จะมาเยือนที่นี่สักครั้งในชีวิต

การเดินทางครั้งนี้ เป็นทริปที่ใช้เวลาอันสั้นมากในบรรดาทริปที่ผมไปเที่ยวมาทั้งหมด เพราะผมไปเที่ยวที่นี่ใช้เวลาแค่ 2 วัน 1 คืนเท่านั้น ผมตั้งใจไปเที่ยวแค่นครวัดกับนครธม ผมเคยอ่านหนังสือ ศึกษาประวัติ เห็นรูปภาพในหนังสือหรือสื่อต่างๆ ก็เลยอยากเห็นของจริงสักครั้งในชีวิต จึงไม่พลาดที่จะมาเยือนเมืองเสียมราฐ

เสียมราฐ หรือ เสียมเรียบ มีฐานะเป็นจังหวัดหนึ่งของกัมพูชา ซึ่งเป็นที่ตั้งของนครวัด นครธม และกลุ่มปราสาทอีกมากมายหลายร้อยแห่ง

I went to Cambodia. When we think of Cambodia, I am certain that Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom are in your mind. Of course, these are well known as the World Heritage sites and are considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. So, as Cambodia is my neighboring country, I said to myself, “I will travel there once in my life”. And I have made my dream come true.

It was the shortest trip. I spent only two days and one night in Siem Reap. I intended to explore only Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

Siem Reap is one of the provinces in northwestern Cambodia. It is a popular resort town and a gateway to the Angkor region. Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and more than a hundred temples are located in this province.

I traveled to Siem Reap by flying with AirAsia on flight FD610 departing from Don Mueang International Airport at 10:10 in the morning.

เมื่อเครื่องบินบินขึ้นได้ระดับแล้วพนักงานจะแจกใบ ตม.ขาเข้า และขาออก รวมถึงใบศุลกากร ของกัมพูชา ใช้เวลาเดินทางประมาณ 1 ชั่วโมง ก็ถึงท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติเสียมราฐ ประเทศกัมพูชา

After the takeoff, the flight attendants provided me with the immigration and customs forms. The flight time was about one hour.

เวลาประมาณ 11:00 ผมเดินทางมาถึงสนามบินนานาชาติเสียมราฐ

I arrived Siem Reap International Airport at 11 o'clock in the morning.

ผมจองที่พักผ่านเอ็กพีเดียร์ซึ่งห้องพักที่ผมจองนั้นได้รวมค่ารถรับ-ส่งสนามบินแล้ว เมื่อมาถึงสนามบิน คนขับรถของโรงแรมได้มายืนรออยู่แล้ว โดยโชว์ป้ายที่มีชื่อของผม พร้อมกับชื่อโรงแรม ด้านหน้าอาคารผู้โดยสารขาเข้าจะมีเคาร์เตอร์ขายซิมมือถืออยู่หลายบริษัทด้วยกัน ผมซื้อซิมของกัมพูชา เพื่อใช้ในการติดต่อกับไกด์ ซิมในกัมพูชามีหลายค่ายให้เลือกกัน แต่ผมเลือกค่าย Metphone ซึ่ง ราคาอยู่ที่ 2 US$ ใช้อินเตอร์เน็ตไม่จำกัด

คนที่นี่เขาใช้จ่ายด้วยเงินดอลล่าร์สหรัฐฯกันนะครับ เพราะฉะนั้นก่อนมาที่นี่ให้แลกเงินเป็นดอลล่าร์สหรัฐฯ มาก่อนได้เลย และเราสามารถกดเงินดอลล่าร์ ผ่านตู้เอทีเอ็มได้ด้วยนะครับ อีกอย่างหนึ่งหากเราจ่ายเงินดอลลาร์ไปแล้วแต่เงินทอนเป็นเศษเงิน 'เซน' (สหรัฐฯ) เขาจะทอนเงินให้เรามาเป็นเงินเรียลแทน และเงินที่นี่ใช้เป็นธนบัตรเท่านั้น

I had booked the hotel through Expedia before I arrived. My room included a complimentary a round trip airport transfer. When I arrived at Siem Reap Airport, a hotel driver had been waiting for me by showing the hotel sign with my name on the board. In the arrival hall, there were many sim card counter services. I bought a sim card called Metphone with the unlimited internet at $2 price.

Please be noted that the US dollar, is the defected currency and is accepted everywhere in Cambodia and ATM's dispense this currency as well. However, if you buy something that requires “cents” in terms of change, it will be converted to and paid in Reil since the US coins are not used.

จากสนามบินสู่โรงแรมใช้ระยะเวลาในการเดินทางประมาณ20 นาที ผมได้สัมผัสถึงวิถีชีวิตของชาวเสียมราฐผ่านสองข้างทาง มองเห็นผู้คนต่างใช้ชีวิตที่เรียบง่าย บ้านเมืองที่นี่ไม่ค่อยวุ่นวาย ไม่มีตึกสูง วัฒนธรรมขที่นี่คล้ายๆบ้านเรา เช่น

บ้านบางหลังมีศาลพระภูมิตั้งอยู่หน้าร้าน มีร้านขายของชำเหมือนบ้านเรา อาหารการกิน ทุกๆอย่างคล้ายๆกับบ้านเรา

The journey from the airport to my hotel was about 20 minutes. I could feel the local people lifestyle by watching them through the car’s window on the way to the hotel. People lived a simple lifestyle, and the city was quite peaceful and most of the buildings were not tall. I found that Cambodian culture is similar to Thai culture, such as the spirit house, food and local grocery stores.

The hotel airport shuttle bus took me to my hotel called Tara Angkor Hotel where I stayed for only one night. The hotel is located on Vithei Charles de Gaulle Road as known as the road to Angkor Wat. I was welcomed by the lovely hotel staff who was friendly, and willing to help with any inquiries. The room was very clean and equipped with full facilities.

This was my room where I stayed a night at Tara Angkor Hotel.

วันแรกนั้นฝนตกหนักมากครับ จึงทำให้ไม่สามารถออกไปเที่ยวไหนได้ แต่ใกล้โรงแรมมีพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติอังกอร์ที่สามารถไปได้อยู่ ผมใช้ร่มที่โรงแรมจัดไว้ให้เดินเท้ามาประมาณ 5 นาทีก็ถึงพิพิธภัณฑ์

It rained so heavily on the first day. I could not travel anywhere except for the area around my hotel that I could walk to while carrying an umbrella. So, I decided to travel to Angkor National Museum located near my hotel. I took a hotel’s umbrella and walked to the museum for about 5 minutes.

When I arrived at the museum, I left my belongings at the deposit counter before buying the ticket.

พิพิธภัณฑ์แห่งนี้มีขนาดกลาง เล่าความเป็นมาของอารยะธรรมเขมรโบราณ เทวราชา ศาสนาพุทธและฮินดู ผมใช้เวลาเต็มที่ 2-3 ชั่วโมงครับ ค่าเข้าสำหรับชาวต่างชาติ 12 US$ แต่ถ้าอยากมีคำบรรยายเสียง ก็จ่ายเพิ่มอีก 5 US$ พิพิธภัณฑ์นี้เป็นสถานที่รวบรวมประวัติศาสตร์ไว้อย่างครบถ้วน ถือว่าเป็นการปูพื้นความรู้ประวัติศาสตร์หรือความเป็นมาของนครวัด และประวัติศาสตร์กัมพูชาก่อนไปเยือนสถานที่จริง

When I arrived at the museum, I left my belongings at the deposit counter before buying the ticket.

The museum is a medium-sized building that, displays the history of Khmer Ancient Kingdom, Khmer Kings, Buddhism, and Hinduism. I spent about 2-3 hours to explore the museum.

The ticket is $12 for an international visitor. However, if you would like to have the audio guide, just pay $5 extra. This museum houses precious collections that fully reflect the history of the Khmer Kingdom, is a perfect place to learn the history of Angkor Wat and Cambodia before visiting the real sites.

พิพิธภัณฑ์นี้แบ่งการจัดแสดงออกเป็นทั้งหมด 9 ห้อง ในแต่ละห้องจะมีเรื่องราวที่แตกต่างกันไป

ห้องที่ 1 เป็นส่วนของการเล่าเรื่องราว ประวัติความเป็นมารวมถึงอธิบายส่วนการแสดงต่างๆของพิพิธภัณฑ์แห่งนี้ มีลักษณะเป็นห้องชมภาพยนตร์ขนาด 80 ที่นั่ง การแสดงนั้นใช้เวลาประมาณ 15 นาที แล้วจะหมุนเวียนเรื่อยไป ซึ่งมีทั้งหมด 7 ภาษาด้วยกัน ได้แก่ ภาษาเขมร เกาหลี ญี่ปุ่น จีน อังกฤษ ฝรั่งเศส และไทย

ห้องที่ 2 Exclusive Gallery: 1,000 Buddha Images เป็นห้องที่จัดแสดงพระพุทธรูปที่มีมากถึง 1000 รูป ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องศาสนาพุทธที่มีความเชื่อมโยงกับอาณาจักรขอมโบราณจนถึงยุคปัจจุบัน

ห้องที่ 3 Gallery A: Khmer Civilization เป็นห้องจัดแสดงเรื่องราวประวัติความเป็นมาของอาณาจักรขอมการเรียนรู้ถึงความจงรักภักดีของชาวเขมรต่อกษัตริย์ในยุคนั้น

ห้องที่ 4 Gallery B: Religion and Beliefs เป็นห้องจัดแสดงถึงศาสนา ความเชื่อ และวัฒนธรรมของชาวเขมร

ห้องที่ 5 Gallery C: Great Khmer Kings จัดแสดงเรื่องราวความยิ่งใหญ่ ปรีชาสามารถของกษัตริย์4 พระองค์ ซึ่งเป็นที่จารึกว่าเป็นกษัตริย์ที่มีความสำคัญกับอาณาจักรกัมพูชา ได้แก่

1. พระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 2 ผู้รวมอาณาจักรขะแมร์ทางใต้ให้เป็นปึกแผ่นขึ้นมา และประกาศให้เขมรเป็นเอกราชไม่อยู่ใต้อำนาจของชวาอีกต่อไป เป็นผู้วางรากฐานการปกครองที่มีกษัตริย์ อยู่ในฐานะอันสูงส่ง ที่เรียกว่า เทวราชา

2. พระเจ้ายโศวรรมันที่ 1 กษัตริย์ผู้สถาปนา เมืองอังกอร์และยกฐานะเป็นเมืองหลวง

3. พระเจ้าสูรยวรรมันที่ 2 กษัตริย์ผู้สร้างนครวัด

4. พระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 7 กษัตริย์ผู้ก่อสร้างนครธม

ห้องที่ 6 Gallery D: Angkor Wat จัดแสดงเรื่องราวของนครวัด

ห้องที่ 7 Gallery E: Angkor Thom จัดแสดงเรื่องราวของนครธม

ห้องที่ 8 Gallery F: Story from Stone จัดแสดงเรื่องรามของหิน ศิลาจารึก ภาพประติมากรรมบนแท่งหิน

ห้องที 9 Gallery G: Ancient Costume จัดแสดงเรื่องราว เสื้อผ้า เครื่องนุ่งห่ม เครื่องแต่งกาย และนางอัปสรา

ห้องจัดแสดงทุกห้องเขาห้ามถ่ายรูป เพราะฉะนั้นรูปภาพส่วนใหญ่ในช่วงนี้ คือรูปภาพที่ผมถ่ายมาจากด้านนอกที่เขาอนุญาตให้ถ่ายเท่านั้นนะครับ

พิพิธภัณฑ์สถานแห่งชาติอังกอร์ มีเวลาเปิดปิดดังนี้ครับ

ช่วง วันที่ 1 เมษายน ถึง 30 กันยายน จะเปิดให้เข้าชม ตั้งแต่เวลา 08:30-18:00

ช่วง วันที่ 1 ตุลาคม ถึง – 31 มีนาคม จะเปิดให้เข้าชมตั้งแต่เวลา 08:30-18:30

The exhibition is divided into 9 halls and each hall displays different theme.

The 1st Hall: “The Briefing Hall”

Before marveling over the awe-inspiring galleries at the Angkor National Museum, you will be invited to sit back and relax in an 80-seat theater for an orientation which will introduce the museum and its amenities.

Show times are scheduled for every 15 minutes and are available in 7 languages; Khmer, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, French, and Thai.

The 2nd Hall: “Exclusive Gallery: 1,000 Buddha Images”

The religion of Buddhism is spiritually linked from the ancient Khmer civilization to present-day Cambodia.

The 3rd Hall: “Gallery A: Khmer Civilization”

One of the mysteries is how the Khmer Empire was established. Explore the Khmer peoples’ faith in their great kings and delve into the stories of ancient wars that once ravaged these tranquil lands.

The 4th Hall: “Gallery B: Religion and Beliefs”

The 5th Hall: “Gallery C: Great Khmer Kings;”

History shows that there were four particularly notable Khmer kings who made the Khmer Empire one of the world's greatest civilizations. Let the historical pride come alive through time and the stories of the four great inventors unfold.

King Jayavarman II, the king who united the two kingdoms of Tchen-La.

King Yasovarman I, the king who established Angkor as the capital.

King Soryavarman II, the king who built Angkor Wat.

King Jayavarman VII, the king who built Angkor Thom.

The 6th Hall: “Gallery D: Angkor Wat”

You will be brought closer to Angkor Wat and learn how the gigantic city was constructed at this hall.

The 7th Hall: “Gallery E: Angkor Thom”

Explore Angkor Thom, the great capital, an architectural masterpiece of sophisticated technology combined with precious artwork created over many generations.

The 8th Hall: “Gallery F: Story from Stone”

The stone inscriptions found throughout Angkor record important historical events and serve as a proof that such a grand world once existed. The 9th Hall: “Gallery G: Ancient Costume”

Another spectacular example of art is the ancient Khmer clothing illustrated by sculptures of gods, goddesses, and the celestial dancers, or Apsara.

The second day of my journey

วันที่ 2 หรือวันสุดท้ายของการท่องเที่ยวในเมืองเสียมราฐ ผมได้นัดกับไกด์ให้มารับที่โรงแรมเวลาประมาณ 07:30 นาฬิกา หลังจากที่ผมได้รับประทานอาหารเช้าแล้ว ก็ได้ไปเจอกับไกด์ที่ด้านหน้าของโรงแรม ไกด์ของผมมีชื่อว่า พี่วิชัย พี่วิชัยเป็นคนท้องถิ่นที่นี่ เพราะฉะนั้นพี่เขาจะรู้จักเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ของนครวัด นครธมเป็นอย่างดี และที่สำคัญพี่เขาจะจัดโปรแกรมท่องเที่ยวตามที่เราสะดวก สามารถออกเดินทางตอนไหนก็ได้ ไปที่ไหนก็ได้ ไกด์จะพาเราไปเที่ยวได้ทั้งหมด

เมื่อพบกับพี่วิชัย พี่วิชัยได้เล่าถึงโปรแกรมท่องเที่ยวคร่าวๆก่อนเดินทาง พาหนะที่พี่วิชัยพาผมไปเที่ยวเป็นรถตุ๊กๆครับ รถตุ๊กๆที่เสียบราฐเก๋ไก๋ไม่เหมือนที่ใด จริงๆต้องเรียกว่ามันคือรถมอเตอร์ไซต์พ่วงมากกว่า คือเป็นรถมอเตอร์ไซด์มาต่อกับส่วนที่นั่ง ที่สามารถนั่งได้ถึง 4 คน ข้างละ 2 หันหน้าเข้าหากัน

พี่วิชัยคิดราคาอยู่ที่ 30 US$ ต่อวัน ผมไปกับเพื่อน 2 คน ก็หารกันตกคนละ 15 US$ ที่เลือกมีไกด์พาเที่ยวก็เพราะว่า เป็นสิ่งที่สะดวกมากในการท่องเที่ยวที่มีเวลาจำกัดแค่ 1 วัน เพราะฉะนั้นถ้ามีไกด์พาเที่ยวเราจะสะดวกมากเลย ไม่ต้องเดินหารถเช่าด้วยตัวเอง เพราะไกด์จะมีรถพาเราเที่ยว ไม่มีหลงเพราะไปกับไกด์ท้องถิ่น แถมยังได้ความรู้อีกด้วยนะครับ

The second day of traveling or it could be called the last day of my trip in Siem Reap.

I had an appointment with my local tour guide named Mr. Vichhay before hand. After having breakfast, Mr. Vichhay was waiting for me in front of the hotel.

When I met him, he did not hesitate to introduce himself and briefed my tour program. Since he is a local to the area, he is an expert explorer and knowledgeable about Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and other tourist sites in Siem Reap. The tour program can be created by himself or ourselves as for the most convenience according to our plan.

The guide charged me $30 per day. There were two other people joining the same trip. So, we just paid only $15 per person. The reason why I chose to travel with a local tour guide because of the limited time I had. Plus, I did not have to find a taxi or any transportation by myself and best of all I would not get lost.

พี่วิชัยได้พาไปซื้อตั๋วเข้านครวัดก่อนครับ จุดขายตั๋วจะอยู่ที่ Angkor Conservation Area ตั้งอยู่ที่ถนน Charles de Gaulle ซึ่งเป็นช่วงระหว่างทางไปนครวัดครับ ตั๋วทุกชนิดจะถูกขายที่นี่เช่นกันครับ

Mr. Vincchay drove me to the Angkor Wat ticket booth with his Tuk Tuk. The Tuk Tuk was different from anywhere that I have seen. It was a chic and cute vehicle which had a cart in tow and two benches facing each other.

The main ticket sales office is in the Angkor Conservation Area ticket booth on Charles de Gaulle Road, the road between Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. All Angkor tickets are available here.

Ticket booths open daily from 5 am to 5.30 pm.

เวลาซื้อตั๋วเขาจะถ่ายรูปเราด้วย เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าอยากได้รูปที่อยู่ในตั๋วออกมาให้หล่อๆสวยๆ ก็ต้องเตรียมเสื้อผ้า หน้าผมไว้อย่างดี ส่วนของผมหรอครับ...ไม่ทันได้ตั้งตัวเลย ผลเลยออกมาเป็นแบบนี้จ้า ว่าแต่...เราเก็บตั๋วนี้ไว้เป็นที่ระลึกก็ได้นะครับ

เมื่อได้ตั๋วมาแล้ว ตั๋วนี้ต้องเก็บไว้เป็นอย่างดีนะครับ เพราะจะมีการตรวจเช็คเป็นระยะๆ ถ้าหายไปเราก็ต้องจ่ายเงินเพิ่มนะหรือไม่อย่างนั้นก็อดเยี่ยมชมปราสาทต่างๆ

เมื่อได้ตั๋วมาแล้ว ก็ไม่ต้องรีรออะไร ออกไปเที่ยวกันเลยคร๊าาาบ

When I bought the ticket, they took me a photo and it was then displayed on my own ticket. That could be one of the souvenirs as well.

Please be noted that, you have to keep your ticket with you all the time in case you may be checked by the officer. If it is lost, you will have to buy a new one, or you will not be able to enter the temples.

Along the way to Ta Prohm Temple

เมื่อซื้อตั๋วเสร็จแล้ว พี่วิชัยก็ได้พาผมไปเที่ยวปราสาทตาพรหมเป็นที่แรก พี่วิชัยบอกว่า ที่เลือกมาที่นี่เป็นที่แรกก็เพราะหลีกเลี่ยงนักท่องเที่ยวที่พึ่งเสร็จจากการชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นที่นครวัด เพราะในเวลานี้มีนักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาเที่ยวปราสาทตาพรหมไม่มากนัก ส่วนใหญ่จะอยู่ที่นครวัดมากกว่า

Once the ticket was purchased, my guide brought me to Ta Prohm Temple as the first site. He told me the reason for visiting this place first was to avoid the crowd at Angkor Wat as they had just finished watching the sunrise.

ปราสาทตาพรหมจัดได้ว่าเป็นวัดในพุทธศาสนาและเป็นวิหารหลวงในสมัยพระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 7 ตั้งห่างจากนครธมประมาณ 1 กิโลเมตร ถูกสร้างขึ้นในปี พ.ศ.1729 ซึ่งเป็นปราสาทหินในยุคท้ายๆของอาณาจักรเขมร หลังจากอาณาจักรเขมรล่มสลายลง ปราสาทแห่งนี้ได้ถูกปล่อยทิ้งร้างเป็นระยะเวลาหลายร้อยปี ก่อนถูกค้นพบโดยชาวฝรั่งเศส ซึ่งด้วยระยะเวลาที่ถูกทิ้งร้างมายาวนาน จึงทำให้ปราสาทมีต้นไม้ รากไม้ขนาดใหญ่ปกคลุมตัวปราสาท จึงเป็นจุดเด่นของปราสาทแห่งนี้ซึ่งดูแล้วสวยงามปะปนกับความขลังของปราสาทแห่งนี้ และที่แห่งนี้เคยใช้เป็นสถานที่ถ่ายทำภาพยนตร์ เรื่อง ทูมเรเดอร์ ซึ่งมีนักแสดงสาวชาวอเมริกัน แอนเจลีนา โจลี อีกด้วยนะครับ

Ta Prohm Temple is the modern name of a temple in Angkor, located one kilometer away from Angkor Thom, built in the Bayon Style. It was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII in 1186 A.D.

After the fall of the Khmer Empire in the 15th century, the temple of Ta Prohm had been abandoned and neglected for centuries until it was found by French people. As it was abandoned for centuries, the temple was covered by big tree root. The trees growing out of the ruins is the most distinctive feature of the temple and looked amazing, beautiful and mysterious at once.

The temple of Ta Prohm was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie.

ปราสาทบันทายกเดย l Banteay Kdei Temple

หลังจากเสร็จสิ้นการเยี่ยมชมปราสาทตาพรหมแล้ว พี่วิชัยได้พาผมไปเที่ยวต่อที่ปราสาทบันทายกเดย (อ่านว่า บัน-ทาย-กะ-เดย) ปราสาทนี้สร้างในรัชสมัยพระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 7 ลักษณะชองปราสาทมีลักษณะคล้ายกับปราสาทตาพรหม แต่มีขนาดเล็กกว่า ดานหน้าทางเข้าปราสาทจะมีโคปุระซึ่งมีพระพักตร์ของพระโพธิสัตว์อวโลกิเตศวร หันหน้าพระพักตร์ไปทั้ง 4 ทิศ เช่นเดียวกับปราสาทบายน

(โคปุระ คือ ซุ้มประตูที่มียอดปราสาทด้านบน แสดถึงการกั้นพื้นที่ของจักรวาลในแต่ละชั้นและป้องกันสิ่งชั่วร้าย)

After exploring Ta Phrom Temple, Vichhay took me to Banteay Kdei Temple. It is a 12th – 13thcentury temple built by King Jayavarman VII. In English, the name translates to “A Citadel of Chambers”. The temple is actually composed of a number of complex chambers and passages. At the entrance of the temple, there is a gopura that has the Avalokiteśvara faced to the North, South, East, and West that similar to Bayon Temple.

(Gopura is a monumental gatehouse tower, usually ornate, at the entrance of Hindu temples, in the Dravidian architecture)

ปราสาทตาแก้ว l Ta Keo Temple

สถานที่ต่อมานั่นก็คือ ปราสาทตาแก้ว แต่เนื่องจากมีฝนตกทำให้การเยี่ยมชมปราสาทนี้ใช้เวลาไม่นานนัก เพราฉะนั้นผมขอเล่าประวัติความเป็นมาของปราสาทแห่งนี้อย่างสั้นๆนะครับ

ปราสาทตาแก้ว เป็นปราสาทถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพื่ออุทิศให้แด่พระศิวะในศาสนาฮินดูที่พระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 5 ทรงนับถือ และท่าถือว่าปราสาทแห่งนี้เป็นดั่งเหมือนเขาพระสุเมรุ ปราสาทตาแก้วเป็นปราสาทแห่งแรกที่มีการทดลองนำหินทรายมาสร้าง ตัวปราสาทมีลักษณะเป็นปราสาท 5 หลัง ก่อด้วยหินเป็นชั้น 5 ชั้น สูง 20 เมตร ในชั้นที่ 2 มีระเบียงคตยาวติดต่อล้อมรอบ ปราสาทตาแก้วถูกเรียกว่าปราสาทโกลน หมายความว่าเป็นปราสาทที่ยังสร้างไม่เสร็จ ซึ่งไม่มีหลักฐานที่แน่ชัดของสาเหตุที่สร้างไม่เสร็จ แต่เชื่อกันว่าเกิดจากฟ้าผ่า เป็นความเชื่อว่าไม่เป็นที่ปรารถนาของเทพเจ้าจึงต้องหยุดการสร้างปราสาทไป

The next site that I visited was Ta Keo Temple. Due to the rain, I only explored this temple for a brief time. So, I would like to introduce the temple briefly.

Ta Keo Temple was built in the reign of King Jayavarman V to warship Shiva, possibly the first to be built entirely of sandstone by Khmers. He built the temple as a symbolic depiction of Mount Meru. The temple has five sanctuary towers arranged in a quincunx, built on the uppermost level of the five-tier pyramid consisting of overlapping surrounded by terraces.

It is an unfinished temple and, the reason why the work stopped is still unknown. An inscription says that lightning struck the temple at one point which was taken as a sign of bad luck upon which work was halted.

นครธม l Angkor Thom

สถานที่ต่อไป นั้นก็คือ นครธมครับ

นครธม หมายถึง เมืองพระนครหลวง (คำว่า นคร แปลว่า เมือง ส่วนคำว่า ธม แปลว่า ใหญ่) ที่ตั้งอยู่ภายในพระนคร สถาปนาขึ้นในปลายคริสต์ศวรรษที่ 12 โดยพระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 7 เป็นเมืองที่แข็งแกร่งที่สุดและอยู่ในยุครุ่งเรืองที่สุดของอาณาจักรขอม โดย ใจกลางนครธมมีปราสาทบายน อันเป็นปราสาทหลักของพระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 7

นอกจากนี้ยังมีประติมากรรมงดงามแปลกตานับไม่ถ้วน โดยมีจุดสำคัญที่น่าสนใจหลายจุด เช่น ประตูด้านทิศใต้ของเมือง ที่มีรูปประติมากรรมลอยตัวของเทวดาและอสูรฉุดนาคเพื่อกวนเกษียรสมุทร พระพักตร์ของพระโพธิสัตว์อวโลกิเตศวรที่มีใบหน้าและรอยยิ้มแบบบายนอันน่าพิศวง เป็นต้น ส่วนปราสาทบายน ถูกสร้างด้วยการนำหินมาวางซ้อนเป็นรูปร่างเป็นปราสาท โดยมีแต่ใบหน้าคนอยู่ทั่วไปหมด จนเกิดความน่าเกรงขามปนลี้ลับ

Angkor Thom was established as the capital in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII. Angkor Thom means the Great City; Angkor means city and Thom means great. It was the most powerful and glorious city in the Khmer Empire. In the center of the city, there is the Bayon Temple which was built by King Jayavarman VII.

Furthermore, there are many beautiful and unique sculptures. However, the highlight is the South Gate where Kshir Sagar sculpture is located and Avalokiteśvara’s face with a mysterious smile sculpture. A part of Bayon Temple was built by laying down stones, the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers.

นครวัด l Angkor Wat

สิ่งที่พลาดไม่ได้ของทริปนี้หรือการมาเที่ยวที่เมืองเสียมราฐ คือ การมาเที่ยวชมนครวัด ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่สุดท้ายของทริปนี้ครับ

นครวัดสร้างขึ้นในช่วงครึ่งศตวรรษที่ 12 โดยพระเจ้าสูรยวรรมันที่ 2 ซึ่งเป็นกษัตริย์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในช่วงความรุ่งเรืองของอาณาจักรเขมร

The most important site that should not be missed is Angkor Wat. This is the highlight of Siem Reap City.

Angkor Wat Temple was built by the Khmer king ‘Suryavarman II in the first half of the 12th century. He was a great king who ruled Cambodia during the glorious time of the Khmer Empire.

นครวัดถือว่าเป็นสิ่งก่อสร้างที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดในบรรดาสิ่งก่อสร้างทั้งหมดในนครวัด และยังคงเก็บรวบรวมสถาปัตยกรรมชิ้นเอกไว้เป็นอย่างดี ด้วยลักษณะองค์ประกอบ ความสมดุล สัดส่วน รวมถึงประติมากรรม และสถาปัตยกรรมของตัวปราสาทนั้นมีความสมบูรณ์เป็นอย่างดี จึงได้รับกล่าวขานว่า เจ็ดสิ่งมหัศจรรย์ของโลกครับ

Angkor Wat, the largest monument of the Angkor Group and the best preserved, is an architectural masterpiece. It has perfection in composition, balance, proportion, bas-relief, and sculpture can make it one of the 7 finest wonders in the world.

คำ Angkor หมายถึง นคร หรือ เมืองหลวง ส่วนคำว่า Wat นั้นหมายถึง วัดหรือเจดีย์ ดังนั้น Angkor Wat ในภาษาอังกฤษ หมายถึง นครวัด ในภาษาไทยนั้นเองครับ ผู้ค้นพบนครวัดแห่งนี้เชื่อว่าเป็นการก่อสร้างเพื่ออุทิศให้แก่พระวิษณุ เทพเจ้าสูงสุดในศาสนาฮินดู

Angkor means ‘a city or capital', Wat means ‘a temple or pagoda', thus altogether Angkor Wat means ‘The city that is a temple'. Researchers presume that the Angkor Wat Temple was dedicated to God Vishnu, who is considered to be the Supreme God of Hinduism.

My guide drove me back to the hotel where I booked the return airport shuttle at 4 pm. I returned back to Bangkok by AirAsia flight FD619 departing from Siem Reap International Airport at 09:45 pm and arrived Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok safely approximately 10:50 pm.
